Recipe Ingredients for khichree

1 cup yellow dal
1/2 cup rice
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp turmeric
2 potatoes
2 red peppers
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin

Recipe Directions for khichree

  1. cook dal, rice, salt turmeric until soft.

  2. heat oil and add chopped potatoes and stir fry for 5 minutes

  3. add chopped peppers cook until potatoes are soft.

  4. heat ghee and add cumin seeds when they pop add to dal mixture. serve with vegetables
