Basic Kentucky Chocolate Walnut Pie - Virgin Derby Pie

Recipe Ingredients for Kentucky Derby Pie

1 crust Pillsbury Pie Crusts All Ready Rolled
1 cup Sugars, Granulated
0.5 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
2 large(50 g) Egg, Whole
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 stick Butter
176 grams Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
99 grams Walnuts, English

Recipe Directions for Kentucky Derby Pie

  1. Mix flour and sugar. Add eggs, then butter. Add nuts, chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.

  2. Pour mixture into an unbaked pie shell.

  3. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes. Test with toothpick; pie should be chewy but not runny.
