My grandmother's recipe with my small twists.

Recipe Ingredients for Kelly's Meatloaf

1 lb ground turkey, 85% lean
2 eggs
40 whole wheat crackers or 1 sleeve
1/4 cup barbecue sauce (Salt Lick or mustard based is best)
1 cup chopped yellow onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Kelly's Meatloaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F

  2. Beat eggs thoroughly

  3. Put crackers in gallon-sized ziploc bag or large bowl and crumble, set aside

  4. In large bowl, mix ground turkey, eggs, barbecue sauce, onion, celery, garlic powder, salt and pepper with hands (Gross, but it's the best way)

  5. Add half of the crackers and mix

  6. Keep adding crackers until you can form a sturdy loaf with the meat. (If you add too many, it will crumble when you cut it)

  7. Put in loaf pan and pour a small amount of barbecue sauce across top of loaf

  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until cooked to 165 degrees and browned on top
