Recipe Ingredients for Kazumak

4 cups flour
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 orange (6 g) zest (tbsp)
4 oz raisins
1 cup 1% milk
1/2 cup sugar
4 oz butter

Recipe Directions for Kazumak

  1. Scald milk.

  2. Put butter and sugar in milk. Stir until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted.

  3. Let cool to 100-115 F. Stir in one packet active yeast (or equivalent).

  4. Slightly beat eggs.

  5. Stir eggs, vanilla and zest into liquid.

  6. Add flour and raisins until dough can be handled.

  7. Knead dough until light and elastic.

  8. Let rise in warm area until double in size (1 hour).

  9. Punch down.

  10. Place into greased loaf pan. May make two loaves.

  11. Let rise in pan until double size.

  12. Bake for one hour at 375F.
