Kasha with Bow Ties and Slow Cooked Beef

Recipe Ingredients for Kasha with Beef and Bow Ties

1 cup Kasha
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter
1 dash Salt, Table
1/4 tsp Spices Ground Black Pepper
1 large Egg, Whole
12 oz Beef, Loin, Bottom Sirloin Butt, Tri-tip Roast
4 oz Carrots, Baby
6 oz Mushrooms
1/4 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tbsp Allspice, Ground
1 box Farfalle Dry

Recipe Directions for Kasha with Beef and Bow Ties

  1. Put beef, mushrooms, carrots, broth, garlic salt and allspice in slow cooker and set to low. Cook for 8 hours.

  2. Heat water, butter, salt and pepper in a saucepan and boil. Lightly beat egg and add kasha. Mix to coat. In seperate skillet heat kasha mixture, stiring constantly 3-4 minutes until grains seperate. Add liquid to kasha and cover. Kasha is done when all liquid is absorbed.

  3. Mix the finished kasha with the finished beef mixture.
