A spiced, milk tea handed down through the centuries by the Kalmyk people.

Recipe Ingredients for Kalmyk Tea

500 grams Water
4 grams Green tea leaves (dry)
750 grams Lactose Free Milk Reduced Fat 2% Milkfat
25 grams Butter
1/4 tsp Nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Kalmyk Tea

  1. Bring water, tea leaves, salt and one bay leaf to boil. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Scoop out leaves.

  2. Add milk and simmer for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat, add butter and nutmeg and stir. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes to infuse then serve.
