Recipe Ingredients for Kale Channe snack Grade A

200 g chickpeas, black
100 g onions, chopped fine
100 g tomatoes, chopped coarsely
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 pinch hing
2 oz green chillies, chopped fine
1/4 tsp sunflower oil
1/8 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp garam masala or curry powder
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Kale Channe snack Grade A

  1. Soak the chickpeas in water for at least 8 hours.

  2. Pressure cook the chickpeas with just enough water covering it for 3-4 whistles.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and wait for it to crackle.

  4. Add hing. Add green chillies and half the onions and fry till soft.

  5. Add masalas and fry.

  6. Add boiled chickpeas and salt.

  7. cook till water is dry.

  8. Serve with rest of onions and cubes of chopped tomatoes as per taste.
