Middle Eastern Meatloaf Sandwiches

Recipe Ingredients for Kafta Sandwiches

1 3/4 pounds beef, 92%
1/2 cup parsley, minced
1 large onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp allspice
2 tablespoons olive oil
6 large pita, 8 medium
5 pickles

Recipe Directions for Kafta Sandwiches

  1. Mix meat, onion, parsley, garlic, allspice, black pepper and salt in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Shape with hands into small logs.

  3. Heat oil in large frying pan over high heat. Add the logs and fry over medium high heat for about 20 minutes, or until no pink remains in center. Place logs in the middle of the pita rounds, add the pickle spears, roll and enjoy.
