Paneer cooked in tomato, onion and garlic gravy with sautéed green peppers

Recipe Ingredients for Kadhai Paneer

2 Green bell Peppers
1 lb cottage Cheese
4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter
3 Onions
5 tomatoes
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup 1% fat milk
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp dry bay leaves
1 dry red pepper
1 tsp red pepper powder
20 g cilantro
1 tsp cumin seed
1 green pepper
1 tsp fenugreek leaves
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cloves

Recipe Directions for Kadhai Paneer

  1. Blend Onion, tomato, potato, ginger, cashews and garlic in mixer and make a consistent puree

  2. Take 3 tbsp oil in pan add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, whole red chilli, kasoori methi, whole black pepper and cloves and sautee. Add the puree to it. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt to it and let it cook for about 40 mins, make sure to check it every 15 mins so that it is not stuck to the bottom of pan.

  3. In another and 1 tbsp of oil pan sautee green peppers and onions till they are well done, once done take them out.

  4. Add 1 tbsp butter and fry Paneer. When Paneer gets a golden/brown covering stop frying.

  5. After about 40-45 mins when u can see oil on the top of gravy then add sautéed onions and bell peppers to it and let it simmer for 10 more mins .... after that add Paneer and the dish is ready to be served.

  6. While serving add chopped cilantro on it.
