1 tbsp shortening
175 4/5 grams Carrots, Baby
3/4 cup, diced Celery
1/2 cup, chopped Onions
16 oz Lentils
6 cup Chicken Broth
0.13 tsp Pepper, Black
1/2 tsp Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Julie's Tasty Homemade Lentils

Melt shorting over low heat. Turn heat up to medium and add carrots, celery and onions. Stir-fry until tender crisp. Add broth, lentils, salt and pepper. Cook until lentils are soft and most of water is absorbed. Very tasty and good for you.
