Chai tea. Vary spices, honey (or lack of), type of milk, strength of tea to suit taste. Serving size is more tea cup than mug.

Recipe Ingredients for Julie's Chai Tea mix

2 1/2 cups skim milk
6 cups water
2 tbsp splenda
2 tsp honey
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp cumin
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cardamom

Recipe Directions for Julie's Chai Tea mix

  1. Note all spices are approximate. You can vary the recipe a lot.

  2. Take out the honey, use more water than milk to "slim" this drink down even more. Or if you're trying to gain, use whole fat milk, honey, add whip cream on top then sprinkle with cinnamon or chocolate.

  3. Combine all ingredients on low heat on stove top. Let simmer five minutes. Add 5 tea bags (loose tea if preferred) of your favourite tea. Simmer a few more minutes. Remove tea bags when you like the colour.

  4. Put through a strainer into another container.

  5. That's it, you're done. I like mine hot. I imagine it would taste nice cold too.
