Family style tacos. Feeds a family of six comfortably. If you're like me then you'll probably eat about 5 tacos before you explode, which is about 1.75 servings. This is a healthier meal then it appears at first glance and it's incredibly satisfying. Lean beef can be substituted with ground turkey or ostrich for a much healthier alternative.

Recipe Ingredients for Juicy Tacos

16 oz Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat, Crumbles
2 onion Spanish Onion
2 Medium Tomatoes
2 cup, shredded or chopped Lettuce, Iceberg
2 cup, sliced Peppers, Jalapeno
4 tsp Sazon
2 tbsp Pepper, Black
10 clove Garlic
2 tbsp Butter
18 each Corn Tortillas
1 cup Refried Beans, Canned

Recipe Directions for Juicy Tacos

  1. Heat large saute pan and add butter and a tiny dash of olive oil (about half a teaspoon)

  2. Add freshly crushed garlic and onions. Saute until golden brown over medium heat.

  3. Toss in ground meat and stir periodically for ten minutes before adding sazon and black pepper.

  4. Cover with tight fitting lid and lower flame to medium low and let simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. While your meat is getting nice and tasty, begin chopping tomatoes and slicing lettuce. Put aside till serving time.

  6. Heat re-fried beans either in the microwave for 3 minutes or on the stove top till creamy.

  7. Time to cook the tortillas. The goal here is have them stay soft! Do not cook to the point of becoming crispy.

  8. Heat small pan over medium high heat. Using PAM, give a quick little spray and place the tortilla on the pan.

  9. Cook the tortilla for 10 seconds, flip and cook for another 10 seconds. Remove from heat and set aside till serving.

  10. Repeat this will all 18 tortillas being extremely careful to not exceed 10 seconds per side.

  11. Check the meat for taste and wellness. Remove from heat and let sit covered till serving.

  12. Put everything into nice serving bowls, and set up the table buffet style.

  13. Sit down and enjoy your meal.
