A hearty rich vegetarian stroganoff, 1/2 cup serving

Recipe Ingredients for Jo's Seitan Stroganoff

3 T Olive oil
2 3/4 cups chopped onions
5 garlic cloves, minced
13 mushrooms, sliced
1 packet french onion dip mix
5 servings Seitan traditional
1 1/2 cups cream of mushroom soup (Campbell's Condensed Soup)
1 cup sour cream

Recipe Directions for Jo's Seitan Stroganoff

  1. Saute onions and garlic in oil

  2. Just before onions turn brown, toss in sliced seitan

  3. Let all brown, then throw in mushrooms and saute il mushrooms are just a little cooked, but not overdone

  4. Add onion soup mix and about 1/4 cup of water or seitan "juice", stir and let simmer 1 minute

  5. Add mushroom soup and a bit more water, let simmer til bubbly

  6. Add sour cream, stir til mixed and let heat til hot, but do not boil.

  7. Serve over noodles or brown rice, depending on what you like, calories not included!
