Recipe Ingredients for Jo's Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup margarine
2 large egg whites
2 tsp vanilla
19 oz of chickpeas, chopped
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup raisins
1 cup white flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup flaxseed, ground
1/2 cup oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Jo's Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350, spray cookie sheet.

  2. In a large mixing bowl beat sugar and margarine until smooth. Beat in egg whites, vanilla, chickpeas, chocolate chips and raisins.

  3. Add flour, oats, baking soda and salt until thick dough forms.

  4. Drop dough by the tablespoon onto the baking sheet, flatten gently with a fork.

  5. Bake until golden brown, 11-13 minutes.
