A cross between the Cashew Lara Bar and the 1970's "date roll"

Recipe Ingredients for Jon's Raw Vegan Workout Bar

6 oz almonds
12 oz pitted dates
8 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tablespoon prune puree
1/2 cup quick cooking oats

Recipe Directions for Jon's Raw Vegan Workout Bar

  1. Place almonds in food processor and process into crumbs. Pour into a bowl.

  2. Place dates in processor and process as much as possible.

  3. Add almond crumbs back into processor and process until well mixed.

  4. Add cocoa, prune puree and oats. Process a little more, then dump into a bowl and knead until ingredients stick together.

  5. Shape into a rectangle. If it?s too sticky, knead in some more almonds or oats.

  6. Slice
