A Spicy lentil dish created from what I had to spare.

Recipe Ingredients for Jon's Dhal

200 grams Lentils
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 serving (Pataks)Creamed Coconut Sachets
1 tsp Cumin Seed
1 tsp Coriander Seed
1 tsp Turmeric, Ground
1 tsp Ginger, Ground
2 pepper Peppers, Hot Chile, Sun-dried
4 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 clove Garlic

Recipe Directions for Jon's Dhal

Boil the lentils and drain. In another pan, heat the oil and gently fry the spices for a minute. Add the onions and garlic and fry until softened. Add the lentils to the spice pan, pour over the creamed cocnut with more water if needed, and simmer for about 5 minutes. Serve with fresh cilantro.
