Classic baked Ziti using a jarred sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Joey's Baked Ziti

8 ounce macaroni,ziti
3/4 lb beef, chopped 80% lean
28 ounce spaghetti sauce
1 3/4 cups ricotta cheese, part skim
2 cups mozzarella, part skim milk, shredded
1 tsp basil leaves, dried
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper, ground
3 tbsp parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Joey's Baked Ziti

  1. Heat oven to 350. Cook pasta,Brown meat in skillet until thoroughly cooked, drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce, simmer 10 minutes.

  2. In small bowl stir together ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella and seasonings

  3. Toss hot pasta w meat sauce. In 13x9 baking dish spoon 1/2 pasta mixture. Spread cheese mixture over top. Layer with remaining pasta, sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

  4. Cover loosely with foil; bake 25 minutes Remove foil bake 5 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
