Home made granola (It is really almost impossible to mess up this recipe.)

Recipe Ingredients for Joe's Loaded Granola

5 cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal
5 cups Quick Cooking Oatmeal
1/4 cups Pecans
1/2 cups Sliced almonds
1/8 cups Cinnimon
1 cups Coconut
52 g Flaxseed meal
2 cups Trail Mix
1/2 cups Honey
170 g Strawberry Yogurt
1 cups Strawberries
1/2 cups Splenda

Recipe Directions for Joe's Loaded Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 250

  2. Combine the oatmeal, pecans, almonds, cinnamon, coconut and flax meal in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Measure out the trail mix into a small bowl and separate the banana chips and nuts from everything else.

  4. Put the nuts and banana chips in a blender for later. Cut the larger pieces of dried fruit into raisin-sized chunks and add all to the mixing bowl with dried ingredients.

  5. Stir dry ingredients to mix well.

  6. Add Splenda, strawberries, honey and yogurt to the nuts and banana chips and puree mixture. Add water as needed.

  7. Pour puree mixture into a saucepan and heat to almost boiling.

  8. Mix hot liquid into dry ingredients thoroughly. Break up any clumps.

  9. Bake at 250 until it the granola reaches the desired consistency stirring every 20 minutes.

  10. Bake at least one hour. Bake longer for dryer crunchier granola lovers.
