Low sodium spaghetti sauce. Make 10 1/2 cup servings. Perfect amount with 1 cup of pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for JoeGee meat spaghetti sauce

1 tbls olive oil
6 oz tomato paste
14 oz stewed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup onions
1 green bell pepper
1 tsp basil
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
6 oz water
1 pound extra lean ground beef
1/4 tsp garlic salt

Recipe Directions for JoeGee meat spaghetti sauce

  1. Chop garlic and onions fine place in cooking pan with olive oil. Cook garlic/onion over low heat until onions are tender. Note: High heat will burn garlic.

  2. Add tomato paste and increase heat to medium. Stir in cut green peppers, about a 1/8 tsp on garlic salt, and garlic powder. Cook until tomato paste caramelizes (make sure not to burn). This should take about 5 minutes

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients except ground beef. Allow to simmer for an hour before adding ground beef.

  4. Cook ground beef in another pan then add to sauce. Allow sauce to simmer another half hour before serving.
