Recipe Ingredients for Jody's Old Fashioned Granola

1 cup honey
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
15 cups oatmeal
2 cups dried cranberries
2 cups sliced almonds

Recipe Directions for Jody's Old Fashioned Granola

  1. Using a large bowl, warm the honey and extra virgin olive oil about 1-2 minutes in the microwave until it flows freely. Blend together to emulsify, and pour over oatmeal.

  2. Mix well until oatmeal is covered with the honey/olive oil mixture.

  3. Heat on high in the microwave for 3 minute. Stir.

  4. Repeat twice, for a total of 9 minutes or until you can "hear the oatmeal sizzle."

  5. Remove from microwave. Add dried cranberries and sliced almonds. Stir to mix.

  6. Let mixture cool. Store in glass container. Keeps well.
