Recipe Ingredients for Jim's Cinnamon Rolls

1/2 cup water
2 tbs water
1 large egg
2 cups All-Purpose flour
4 tsp All-Purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbs butter
1 tbs granulated sugar
1 tbs nonfat dry milk powder
2 1/2 tsp yeast
3 tbs melted butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tbs melted butter
1 tbs granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbs brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Jim's Cinnamon Rolls

  1. 1 lb Basic Not-So-Sweet Dough: Place all ingredients though yeast in bread pan and select Dough setting, press start.

  2. When Dough setting is completed, turn out dough onto a floured countertop.

  3. Glaze : Pour 3 tbs melted butter and into 9-inch round cake pan, and sprinkle with 1/3 cup brown sugar.

  4. Roll dough in to 8x14 inch rectangle.

  5. Filling : Brush 1 Tbs melted butter on dough. In a small bowl combine 1 tbs granulated sugar,1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1 tbs brown sugar and sprinkle over dough. Starting with long edge, roll dough; pinch seams to seal. With a knife, lightly mark roll into 1 1/2 inch sections. Use a 12 inch piece dental floss, thread underneath. Bring ends of the floss up and crosscrossing them at the top of each mark, cut thorugh the roll by pulling the string in opposite directions. Place cut side up in prepared pan.

  6. *Cover and let rise 30 to 45 minutes or until doubled. (Hint: Warm oven slightly, put oven on warm setting for 2 minutes, then turn it off, and place covered dough in oven to rise. Remove pans to preheat)

  7. Preheat oven to 350*. Bake 25 - 30 (16 minutes in my oven) minutes until golden brown. Remove immediatly and invert rolls onto a large platter.
