Recipe Ingredients for Jicama Orange Salsa

1 Jicama
3 Oranges
1 red onion
2 jalapeņo peppers
1/4 cup cilantro
2 oz. lime juice
2 tsp. lime zest
1 tsp. honey

Recipe Directions for Jicama Orange Salsa

  1. Peel and chop jicama, oranges and onion. Seed and chop the jalapeņo. Chop the cilantro. Juice and zest two limes to equal the recipe quantities. Toss all the fruit and vegetables together like a salad. Mix the juice and honey with 1 tsp. Tony Chacherie's Creole Seasoning and pour over the rest. Toss everything together evenly to coat. Allow to rest/chill before serving.

  2. This is fantastic with fish. Drain about 1/4 cup of the juice off the salsa and mix with 2 Tbsp. chili powder and 1 tsp. olive oil to make a fish marinade. Broil or grill, 400 degrees, 10 min. Serve in tacos or plated with rice, beans and corn.
