Recipe Ingredients for Jez's Split Pea & Ham Soup

1 oz Split Peas
16 oz Fat Free Milk
2 cup, diced Ham, Sliced, Regular

Recipe Directions for Jez's Split Pea & Ham Soup

  1. follow instructions on the bag of dried, split peas for cooking. Drain and rinse peas.

  2. Take half the peas and puree them in the blender.

  3. in a large stock pot, combine 4 cups water and 2 cups skim milk, peas, and 2 cups of diced ham (and the hambone, if you like).

  4. Add salt and pepper and other spices to taste.

  5. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer or slow cook in a crock pot.
