Jerk Seitan really this should be 2 cups of seitan instead of 16 oz tofu but this stupid app couldn't size the seitan

Recipe Ingredients for Jerk Seitan

1/2 large onion, coarsly chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 T ginger, chopped
3 T lime juice
3 T soy sauce
2 T olive oil
2 T maple syrup
1 T thyme
1 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
16 oz tofu
2 tsp olive oil
1 cup onion, thickly sliced
1 red bell peppers, seeded and thickly sliced

Recipe Directions for Jerk Seitan

  1. prepare the marinade by blending till smooth(all ingredients but last 4).

  2. let seitan marinate at least 1 hour

  3. saute onions and pepper in olive oil over med heat for 5-7 minutes

  4. remove seitan and saute 10 mins

  5. add marinade and cook 2 minutes.

  6. nice to serve with cocnut rice, sauteed greens and baked sweet potatos
