- 1 Can Kidney Beans, Rinsed and Drained (or the equivalent of fresh cooked which is about 1.5 to 2 cups) - 1 Cup Regular Oats, Dry (OR 1/2 Cup Regular Oats, Dry & 1/2 Cup Cooked Brown Rice) - 2 TB Canned Tomatoes (or salsa, ketchup or BBQ sauce) - Spice of choice: chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, curry powder Optional: parsley, red onion chopped

1 serving Organic Kidney Beans (Private Selection) whole can 3.5 servings
1 1/2 serving Oatmeal - 1/3 cup 100% Whole Grain (Great Value)
1/2 cup Rice, Brown, Long-grain, Cooked
1 serving Barbecue Sauce, Original (Great Value) 2 Tbsp
1 serving Red Onion Slices
0.13 tsp Garlic Powder
0.13 tsp Chili Powder

Recipe Directions for Jeff Novick Fast Food Burger (vegan)

Mash Kidney Beans by hand. Mix together all other ingredients. Divide into 4 equal size portions. Shape into patties. Let set in refrigerator. Broil on high for 5 minutes each side - may also Grill on each side till golden brown (George Foreman Grill works) - Baking dries them out.
