Recipe Ingredients for Jay's Pizza Crust

1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1/4 tsp brown sugar
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
2 1/4 cups (gold medal) whole wheat flour

Recipe Directions for Jay's Pizza Crust

  1. dissovle yeast and brown sugar in the warm water and let sit for 10 min

  2. stirn in the salt and oil

  3. mix in 1 2/3 cups of the flour

  4. knead flour until no longer sticky

  5. place dough in well oiled bowl and cover with cloth

  6. allow the dough to rise until double (about 1 hr)

  7. punch down dough to a tight ball and allow it to relax for a minute before rolling it out

  8. place dough on lightly oiled pan and allow to rise for 15-20 min

  9. top and bake at 425 for 15-20 min.
