Jay's Fire-Roasted Tomato Turkey Chili

Recipe Ingredients for Jay's Fire-Roasted Tomato Turkey Chili


Meat:
3 lbs ground turkey (OR turkey breast cutlets, cubed OR your favorite meat)
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1/2 tbsp cumin
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp paprika

Ev?rythang Else:
2 cups water
15 oz diced tomatoes
15 oz tomato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp onion powder
1/2 tbsp cumin
1/2 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp paprika

Recipe Directions for Jay's Fire-Roasted Tomato Turkey Chili

  1. Heat oil in a large stock pot to medium.

  2. Add turkey to stock pot with all MEAT seasonings.

  3. Brown the meat, stirring frequently, but do not over-cook.

  4. Add Ev?rythang Else, stirring well after each ingredient.

  5. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Longer if you can wait!! Flavors will deepen and meat will become more tender the longer you simmer.
