This chilli is the bomb. To make this chilli a little more healthy you can use low sodium reduced fat beef broth and use a little splenda instead of brown sugar. ENJOY!!!

Recipe Ingredients for Jasons' Northwest Chilli

1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
1 medium sweet onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 pound lean ground beef
14 1/2 ounce diced tomatoes
29 ounce beef broth
6 ounce tomato paste
14 1/2 ounce chili beans
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
4 tablespoons hot sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons barbeque sauce

Recipe Directions for Jasons' Northwest Chilli

  1. prepare peppers, onion and garlic

  2. heat a large saucepan and lightly oil with e.v.o

  3. heat another pan and brown the hamburger adding half of the spices during process

  4. sautee peppers, onion, and garlic in pan untill onions become clear and peppers start to slightly brown

  5. drain exess fat from burger and put in a large pan mixing with the veggies

  6. add broth, diced maters, mater paste, and chilli beans

  7. bring to a boil and reduce

  8. simmer for 1 hour adding brown sugar, spices, bbq and hot sauce while stirring frequently
