Beef stew with noodles and Japanese flavours

Recipe Ingredients for Japanese Beef Stew

340 g Sirloin Steak
170 g onion
120 g Leek
120 g Shitake Mushrooms
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
4 tbsp Mirin
4 g Sake
3 tbsp Caster Sugar
125 g Udon Noodles

Recipe Directions for Japanese Beef Stew

  1. Combine ingredients (less noodles) in a saucepan.

  2. Bring to the boil, turn down heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

  3. Cook noodles by adding them to 2 litres boiling water for 6-8 minutes, rinse with cold water, drain and serve with the stew.
