Recipe Ingredients for Jannid's Pasta Primavera

1/2 red pepper, chopped
1 zucchini, sliced
1 yellow squash, sliced
4 oz. cremini mushrooms, halved
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
1 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, divided
1 t basil
1 t oregano
3 t garlic, chopped
12 ounces whole wheat penne pasta
3 cups marinara sauce (store bought or homemade)
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Jannid's Pasta Primavera

Saute the first listed veges in olive oil til tender, stir in the seasonings and stir another minute or two.stir in the sauce and leave to simmer while cooking the pasta. When the pasta is drained, toss in the peas and sauce and mix. Serve with Parmesan.
