You can use green lettace instead of Romaine.

Recipe Ingredients for Janice's Taco Salad

8 cups Romaine, chopped
3 tomatoes, diced
8 ounces corn chips, Fritos
8 ounces olives, sliced and drained
6 green onions, chopped
3/4 pound cheddar cheese, shredded
1 large avocado, mashed
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 pint light sour cream
1 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Janice's Taco Salad

Mix together lettace, tomatoes, olives, green onions. In a small bowl, mix together avocado, vegetable oil, lemon juice, sour cream and garlic powder. Pour over salad, toss well. Add in Fritos and cheese, toss well.
