Recipe Ingredients for Jambalaya

11 tbsp Real Bacon Bits
1 large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, 3" dia) Peppers, Sweet, Green
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
5 serving Hot Lean Italian Turkey Style Sausage
2 serving Chicken
4 cup New Orleans Style Jambalaya Mix
1/2 cup (8 fl oz) Sauce, Barbecue Sauce
1 serving Ground Red Pepper Spice
4 cup Diced Tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Jambalaya

  1. Cook meat in 3 quart saucepan or large skillet until brown. Add vegetables and cook until tender.

  2. Add bacon, Zatarains, 2 c. water, BBQ sauce and red pepper. Bring to a boil; cover. Reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. (May add additional rice if you want a bigger batch - just increase amount of water accordingly)

  3. Stir in tomatoes. Cook until heated through. Serve immediately.

  4. Freezes well.
