Slow Cooker recipe, great for cold days

Recipe Ingredients for Jambalaya

2 1/2 pound chicken, skin removed, cut up
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled and thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp dried red pepper flakes
14 oz tomatoes, cut up
1 pound shrimp, shelled
2 cups rice, cooked

Recipe Directions for Jambalaya

In a slow cooker, combine chicken, onion, bell pepper, carrot, garlic, oregano, basil, salt pepper, paprika, pepper flakes and tomatoes. Cook on low 4-5 hours. Turn to high, add shrimp and rice and cook for 30-40 minutes or until shrimp is pink.
