Jambalaya w/ Oats instead of Rice

Recipe Ingredients for Jambalaya (Oats, No Rice)

1 1/2 cup steel cut oats
4 cups chicken broth
12 oz boneless skinless chicken breast
12 oz smoked sausage
1/2 lbs shrimp
5 stalks celery
2 onions
1 bell pepper
4 tbls olive oil

Recipe Directions for Jambalaya (Oats, No Rice)

  1. Brown meat in pan

  2. Remove meat from pan

  3. Saute vegetables in pan

  4. Add meat back into pan

  5. Add chicken broth

  6. Add seasoning of choice

  7. Add oats

  8. Simmer until oats are finished
