Recipe Ingredients for Jam Thumbprint Cookies

1/2 cup jam
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour

Recipe Directions for Jam Thumbprint Cookies

  1. Cream butter; add sugar, and cream again; add egg yolks and vanilla until well blended. mix in flour, then chill in fridge for an hour for easier handling.

  2. Preheat oven to 375.

  3. Roll into balls, then place on cookie sheets, and make a thumbprint indentation in each. Fill each with about a teaspoon of jelly, jam, preserves, icing, or chocolate.

  4. Bake for 10-12 min. or until edges at bottom are lightly brown.
