I just made this cause my family ordered pizza from an Italian place and it smelled really good but I knew I shouldn't eat it so I tried to make something equally garlicky and somewhat Italian and I think it turned out pretty good. Yay run-on sentences. :D Anyway I think this would go good with spaghetti. It's good on its own, though..? Um warning this is really garlicky you might want to tone down the amount you use if you're not wild about that. You weirdo.

Recipe Ingredients for Italiany Food You Make for Yourself When Your Family's Eating Pizza and You Can't Have Any

2 large zucchini
2 medium tomato
5 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp basil
1 tsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Italiany Food You Make for Yourself When Your Family's Eating Pizza and You Can't Have Any

  1. Heat oil on medium heat. Add garlic and let it soften and start to smell all good and such.

  2. Cut the two zucchinis into 1/2-inch slices, and cut those slices into halves. Add it to the pot with the garlic. Wait for it to soften a bit and stir in the basil so that the pieces are more or less evenly coated with the herb.

  3. Cut the tomatoes in half twice (that's right, fourths). Slice each fourth into a few pieces. You should aim for 24-32 pieces total.

  4. Add the tomatoes to pot, stir it around pretty roughly so that the tomato guts are knocked out of the tomato pieces and it sorta forms a sauce. Then add the salt and pepper and stir well.

  5. Add 1/4 cup of water if a lot of steam escaped and let everything get soft but not soggy.

  6. Serve.
