An Italian twist on potstickers.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian White Bean Potstickers

14.5 fl. oz (Goya) small white beans
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.5 cup, chopped Onions
3 clove Garlic
10 leaves Basil, Fresh
6 Teaspoon Juice
5 tbsp Parmesan, Grated Cheese
45 wrapper, wonton (3-1/2" square) Wonton Wrappers

Recipe Directions for Italian White Bean Potstickers

  1. Mince the onions and garlic.

  2. Cook these in the oil until the onions are translucent.

  3. Mash up 3/4s of the beans to make a paste. Add this and the rest of the whole beans to the onion mixture.

  4. Add the herbs, cheese and salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Mix together and cook until heated through.

  6. Chill completely.

  7. Set out 4-6 wonton wrappers on a counter and spoon about 1-2t of filling.

  8. Moisten the edges with water and fold how you desire.

  9. To cook:

  10. boil in broth or sauce for about 5-8minutes, steam for about 8minutes or pan fry for 5mins then flip and simmer in water for another 5 minutes.

  11. freeze ahead:

  12. BEFORE cooking, place wontons on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Freeze about 30-40minutes, flipping halfway through. Then place in a large freezer bag. Grab how many you want to cook, and cook as described above.
