Recipe Ingredients for Italian Tomato sauce

8 tomatoes,Large & juicy
2 tbsp olive oil
1 salt
1 pepper
1 tsp sugar
30 g basil
3 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for Italian Tomato sauce

  1. Slice the tomatoes in half and fit titely in one layer in a baking dish.

  2. Tuck in the cloves of garlic (no need to peel)

  3. spinkle finely with salt,pepper and a tsp of sugar

  4. Drizzle over 2 tbsp of oil and bake for 45 mins in a med-hot oven. (be careful not to let them burn).

  5. Transfer the tomatoes,juices and oil to a blender,add the bazil and blend until smooth.

  6. Sive the sauce and your'e done.
