Italian style turkey meatballs. Romano or parmesan cheese and bread crumbs can be reduced to taste and calorie/nutrition requirements. Only a drop of olive oil is needed in the pan if non-stick.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian style turkey meatballs

1 lb. (Foster Farms) fresh ground turkey - lean
1/4 cup (Progresso) bread crumbs, Italian
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated (or romano)
1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 large egg
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper, coarse
1 teaspoon olive oil

Recipe Directions for Italian style turkey meatballs

  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and shape into medium to large meatballs.

  2. Brown and cook in covered saute pan on low heat for approximately 25-30 minutes. Use minimal olive oil (less than a tsp) in pan when frying.
