Recipe Ingredients for italian stew/turkey penne

1 tbsp salted butter
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 cup onion
1 tbsp pepper
4 tbsp garlic
1 cup red wine
1 lb penne
52 oz marinara sauce
1 lb turkey
1 tbsp fresh thyme

Recipe Directions for italian stew/turkey penne

  1. brown turkey (any type of meat can be used instead of turkey) in oil and butter (med heat...the meat should be cooked through when done)

  2. add chopped onion

  3. deglaze with wine and simmer until onion is starting to turn opaque

  4. add pepper, garlic, sauce, and thyme. simmer until onions are done

  5. add two cups water and penne. simmer until noodles are cooked. add water if necessary, you want the noodles to cook mostly in the sauce to absorb the complex flavors that have been developed so not too much
