Great soup for summer and winter. A family favorite.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Soup

5 oz. Canadian bacon
1/2 teaspoon garlic
1 1/2 cup onion
2/3 cup carrot
2 zucchini
28 oz. canned tomato
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
40 oz. beef broth
1/5 cup water
15 oz. canned kidney beans
2 cup chopped cabbage
1 cup spinach
1 cup macaroni
1 teaspoon dried basil

Recipe Directions for Italian Soup

  1. In a large pot, cook the Canadian bacon until brown. Stir in all ingredients except the macaroni and basil. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes.

  2. Add macaroni and basil, continue cooking for 20 minutes. Serve.
