Italian Pot Pies Recipe

From Martha Stewart magazine. Could easily be 8 servings. Serve with a salad.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Pot Pies

1 onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 pound ground beef, 90% lean
2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup flour
1 oz parmesan cheese, grated
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons butter, melted

Recipe Directions for Italian Pot Pies

  1. saute onion and carrot slowly in non-stick skillet until translucent.

  2. add ground beef, breaking up until no pink shows.

  3. Add two cups tomato sauce (I used hunts pasta sauce) and simmer.

  4. Put into four individual casserole dishes.

  5. Blend parmesan, flour, baking powder and rosemary bowl, add melted butter and milk. Stir only to mosten then top each dish with this mixure.

  6. Bake for 20-25 miuntes at 350.
