1.5 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.25 cup, chopped Onions

Recipe Directions for Italian Mushroom Potstickers

  1. Sweat the mushrooms in the oil for about 5-8mins to evaporate extra water.

  2. Meanwhile, mince the onion.

  3. Add the onion to the mushrooms and cook for another 5minutes, or until the mushrooms are lightly browned.

  4. Let the mixture cool completely. Then place on a cutting board and mince the mixture finely.

  5. Place the mixture into a bowl. Add the egg yolk, basil and cheese. Mix together with a fork.

  6. Place 4 3" wonton wrappers on a cutting board, or smooth service. Place roughly 2t of the mixture onto each wrapper.

  7. Moisten 2 sides with water and then fold the other 2 over the mixture. Gently press around the mixture to seal.

  8. Repeat until you use up the mixture

  9. Place some water on the new edges and crease these together.

  10. To cook: Either boil some broth and place dumplings in the broth for 5 mins.

  11. Or: Place in a frying pan with butter or oil. Cook about 5minutes on one side, then flip add a little water and simmer for 5minutes. Top with a little Parmesan cheese.

  12. To freeze: Place wax paper on a cookie sheet. Tape in place. Freeze for 20mins each side.
