Recipe Ingredients for Italian Mushroom Penne

425 g tomato sauce
33 g diced onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp Parsley flakes
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
130 g penne pasta
180 g mushrooms, quartered
33 g onion, sliced
2 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Italian Mushroom Penne

  1. Cook noodles by package directions.

  2. In small saucepan, saute diced onion & 1 garlic clove in olive oil until transparent over medium heat. Add tomato sauce, italian seasoning & parsley flakes. Bring to boil. Cover, reduce it and simmer.

  3. In large pan, saute sliced onion & 1 garlic clove in butter until transparent over medium heat. Add mushrooms. Reduce heat and stir occasionally until mushrooms have reduced in size and are coated in the butter.

  4. When the pastas prepared, mix mushroom mixture, pasta, and sauce. Serve warm.
