Recipe Ingredients for Italian Mushroom Chicken

1 yellow onion, whole
8 oz mushrooms, medium, fresh
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
1 spray of cooking spray
1 cup tomato sauce,
2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoon onion powder

Recipe Directions for Italian Mushroom Chicken

  1. Preparation

  2. Pre-heat skillet or stovetop to medium heat.

  3. Wash and chop onions and slice mushrooms.

  4. Clean and trim chicken breast of visible fat.

  5. Spray skillet with 1 second of cooking spray.

  6. Brown chicken for 10-15 minutes. Use other half of skillet and saute´ chopped onions and sliced mushrooms; approximately 5 minutes.

  7. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic and onion powder then cover skillet.

  8. Lower heat to simmer and cook until chicken is tender; 8-10 minutes
