Delicious spin on traditional meatloaf.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Meatloaf

2 tbs vegetable oil
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 lb ground beef
1 lb italian sausage
1 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1 3/4 cups shredded mozzarella
1 cup pizza sauce

Recipe Directions for Italian Meatloaf

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

  2. Place beef, sausage, bread crumbs, egg, salt and oregano in a large bowel. Add onion and garlic, mix well.

  3. Form half of the meat mixture in a loaf pan. Top with shredded cheese. Cover with remaining meat mixture.

  4. Top meatloaf with pizza sauce. Bake until cooked through, about 65 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. Pour off any drippings before slicing.
