Meatballs with sauce made in the slow cooker, good for meatball subs.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Meatballs with Sauce

16 oz ground beef
8 oz pork sausage
1/2 cup italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup skim milk
2 tbsp parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 eggs
1 tsp oregano
1 garlic clove
15 oz tomato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
1/2 cup red wine
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Italian Meatballs with Sauce

  1. For meatballs: mix eggs, milk, bread crumbs, pork, beef, and cheese together. Make 1-inch balls and stick under broiler for 15 minutes. Place in slow cooker.

  2. For sauce: mix remaining ingredients and pour over meatballs.

  3. Cook on low 4-6 hours.
