Typical marinara sauce made at home

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Marinara

1 tbsp olive oil
1 tomatoes
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup fresh basil
1/2 small onion

Recipe Directions for Italian Marinara

  1. Dice onions and tomatoes and chop up garlic.

  2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan. Add onions and saute until tender. Add garlic and cook for another minute.

  3. Add tomatoes and cook for a few minutes. Once the juices start simmering, crush tomatoes against sides of pan to make into a more sauce like consistency.

  4. cover with a lid and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Add fresh basil and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another minute and serve.
