Very easy yummy herb bread, great with lasagna or pasta

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Herb Bread (Bread Machine Recipe 1 1/2 poung)

1 cup water (plus 2 tablespoons)
5 teaspoons shortening
3 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
3 1/4 cup bread flour
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast (active dry, can use 1 3/4 tsp. quick acting dry yeast also)

Recipe Directions for Italian Herb Bread (Bread Machine Recipe 1 1/2 poung)

Add ingredients according to your bread machine manufacturer (mine says to add wet ingredients first, then dry, then the yeast). Set on a basic white bread setting. Enjoy!
