A quick and easy way to make a great tasting home-made Italian dressing that is heart healthy.

Recipe Ingredients for Italian Dressing

2 cups water
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 serving Salt Substitute
1 ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tbsp+chopped shallots
1/2 red bell pepper, minced
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon freshly minced Italian parsley
1/2 teaspoon paprika
9 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon honey

Recipe Directions for Italian Dressing

  1. Bring the water to a boil and stir in the cornstarch.

  2. Let cool.

  3. If the mixture is lumpy, you may want to pass it through a blender.

  4. Mix the remaining ingredients together, then add to the water and cornstarch mixture.

  5. Mix well and keep refrigerated.
